You are invited to join Louisa for an immersive sound experience designed to address chronic pain.
Recent research has demonstrated that chronic pain can result from the perception of pain sensations when there is no structural damage to the body. This can happen as a result of signal miscommunication between the brain and the body. The pain is 100% real, originating from the brain’s misinterpretation of bodily signals and not structural damage. This is called neuroplastic pain. A technique called somatic tracking can be used to help restore the brain-body connection and rewire neuroplastic pain pathways from a place of safety.
Through this session, Louisa will facilitate an immersive sound experience using natural frequencies of chimes, singing bowls, and voice to foster a sense of peace and safety. She will guide participants through a somatic tracking exercise, where they will be able to gently observe physical sensations and permit the body’s expressions to be witnessed and understood in a new way.
Participants may come away with a greater sense of:
Inner connectedness and compassion
Freedom from pain and feeling more trusting and empowered in the body
Peace, calm, and relaxation
